-Contemplating at the camp fire.
-I'm in the middle of my 2nd week of 14 weeks of training. How do 'real', competitive, athletes, with regular jobs, find the time to train? Here I am retired and having trouble getting a structure to my workouts.
-It has been suggested this is all to the good, since I have been 'out of shape' for so long, a gradual base build up may be beneficial to holding off injuries.
-Main question of the day--why would the World Cup schedule games at the same time? I'll have to put 2 TVs in the same room.

-Thanks to all the positive comments in previous blogs, especially to Jo Wells(June 12th) who was an inspiration to all 'Ultra Marathon' participants and fans.
-Shawn, I was sitting in the Skye in my backyard the other night, the grass was wet, and I tipped over and fell out in the yard--Ha!

Jo:
You are correct, 'was' was a mere slip of the pen. You 'were' an inspiration to our local guys like Gordon, Chris, Bill, and Gerry etc. who went on to do more Ultra stuff, after you came down to run the entire RumRunnersRoute. Obviously you are 'still' a mentor and 'inspiration' to the runners in your new home of PEI.
The World Cup nevers ends, as soon as the final game is completed, Countries begin the 4 year process of qualifying for 2010. Too bad North America can't figure this out, eh! Don Cherry will never figure it out!
