WE ARE DONE!

The 'real' training is completed and it's just a matter of fine tuning the transitions, getting the gear together, having a few paddles in Dipper's Sprint kayak, and waiting for Sunday morning.

Thanks to Birder, my loving training partner, among other things, who put up with my shananigans over the past three months--well, actually the past 35 years, eh! Her support is un-measurable, eh!

I had a couple runs since my fall last week, the knee is going to be at least, OK--still more sore than normal but I don't think they are going to have me put down.

The weather has changed and fall is in the air--I'm 'really' looking forward to the 1st discipline, an early morning swim. Brrrrrrr!

Thanks also to Viking and Helga for the use of the Marina, for the swimming and paddling workouts.

Also to the Dipper, as my virtual coach and mentor.

And to all the fun comments, some serious, to the blog--these things are a ball.

Cheers

Bruce,

Too cool! You were right. You've reached your goal already. The race will be the icing on the cake.

Congratulations.

Also . . . what time does it start? How long does it run? Where's the best place to cheer for your favourite guy?
