Nine (9) Weeks completed, only Five (5) weeks to September 17th Quadrathlon

Very positive week of training.
-My swimming workouts have increased to 1.6kms (mile), and the biking and paddling are solid.
-The most pleasing thing is the running-I am able to keep going with no (well, minimal) effect on the knee.

Pictured, getting 'instructions' from 'virtual' coach Brucie, and running (use word loosely) in the Dartmouth Natal Day Race on August 7th, I was in my first 'race' in well over 12 years. Hurt good!
My time was slow, but fast enough to place 3rd in my age class (60-69) out of 10 others--and 346th in the total field of 548--actually ahead of 202 people. Most were younger, some much younger. Over, and above, the 100th Anniversary medal, and the 'winner's mug, I was the lucky draw prize winner of $155.00 pair of Brooks running shoes---Does this mean I have to keep running after Quad.?
Also the 4.5km run to park gates from TUNS on Thursday nights, was much more comfortable, so my intentions are to try to get 2-3 runs a week in--See what the knee says.
I'm off to the Northumberland Straight (Pugwash) again for a few days 'car' camping, and will get in some ocean swimming--I am 'not' taking bike or kayak so the trip will give the body a much needed rest before I start doing some triples Wednesday. I may get in a run.
Total training to date, 741kms 0n bike, 25 hours on the water, 17kms in the water, 22kms running, approximately 75 hours walking C.S. Lewis, and 5 days hiking in New Hampshire.
Note to Goal 2007--the swims, now at a mile, are 'very' comfortable and thoughts are that next year swimming from Fairbanks out to the Marina--or dare say from Banook--may be option? Is there enough daylight available, eh?
